Quanta Computers Might Stop Taking Apple Watch Assembly Orders as Profit Concerns Loom Large

Quanta Computers, the company that assembles Apple Watch is likely to stop taking orders from Apple. According to a report by Digitimes, the company is also planning to sell its manufacturing plant located in Changshu, China. The manufacturing plant is specifically meant for the Apple Watch assembly.
The report is paywalled and the preview reads as follows,
“Quanta may stop assembly for ‌Apple Watch‌ in 2020, say sources:
Quanta Computer is likely to stop taking assembly orders for the ‌Apple Watch‌ next year due to profit concerns, and may sell its Changshu plant in China dedicated to assembling the wearable device, according to industry sources.”Also Read:Drinking Game apps for Android
On the other hand, the latest data from Strategy Analytics points to Apple Watch taking a staggering 46% of the smartwatch share in Q2 2019. The Cupertino company shipped a staggering 5.7 million Apple Watch units worldwide in Q2 marking a 50% YoY increase. In total, 12.3 million smartwatches were shipped in Q2 2019 and Apple shipped 5.7 million of them. The strong sales of the Apple Watch mean that it is notably ahead of its competitors and absolutely dominates the wearable market.
Needless to say, Apple’s wearable business is growing and yet Quanta Computers is planning to stop taking assembly orders. In all likelihood, the margin might have reduced in the recent past. It will be interesting to see how companies will absorb new import duties. As reported earlier, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod are subjected to a 10 percent hike in import tariffs. In the long run, Apple will not be able to absorb the impact of newly imposed import duties and might eventually pass it on to the consumers. Also Read:Fix Dim or Dark Screen Of iPhone XS

How to Transfer Data from iTunes/iCloud backup to iPhone 8

Transfer Data by Restoring iTunes Backup to iPhone 8

As the best-selling smartphone since its release, iPhone has been the choice for a large group of users. Although it was designed with great quality and convenience, there are cases, which you had to handle the problem yourself, like restoring your iTunes backup to your new iPhone 8. Follow these steps to choose a backup and synchronize the data to your iPhone 8.

(1) Turn on your iPhone 8 and follow the steps until you see the Apps & Data screen.

(2) Tap Restore from iTunes Backup and then tap next.

(3) Connect the iPhone 8 to the computer with a USB cable.

(4) Open iTunes and click the iPhone icon, and then choose Restore Backup.

(5) Choose the backup you wish to sync and click the Restore button and wait for the process to be finished.

Now when the process will complete and all of your data will be transferred to your new iPhone 8.
Transfer Data by Restoring iCloud Backup to iPhone 8

With the advent of cloud storage, Apple activated a file saving and recovery system in iCloud that lets users revert to recent backup files without first connecting to a host computer. To restore iCloud backup to iPhone 8, a viable backup needs to be available in iCloud.

You can begin the process of setting up your new iPhone from an iCloud backup. This is only possible through the iOS Setup Assistant, which is only available during the initial set up.

(1) Complete the initial steps in iOS Setup Assistant for language, country and so forth.

(2) Make sure to check Restore from iCloud Backup from the setup menu.

(3) Sign into the same Apple ID that you stored your iCloud backup on.

(4) Simply tap on the desired backup from the list to restore your iPhone.

(5) The new iPhone 8 will begin restoring all data, such as apps, contacts, music and so forth. This can sometimes be a lengthy process that takes 20 minutes or longer, so you need to make sure your iPhone 8 is always plugged in.

If you followed the steps above, you should have successfully transferred your data from the old iTunes or iCloud backup to your new iPhone. However, iTunes or iCloud can’t cover all of the cases as iTunes can only recover the entire backup and iCloud is only capable of recovering limited file types. In one word, the methods provided by Apple are inflexible. And it is the reason that third party app comes into help.

iPhone Keeps Dropping WiFi After iOS 12/11 Upgrade? Here Is The Fix!

Check Whether Your Home WiFi Connection Runs Well

The first thing that you should check is whether your home WiFi connection is working. Do the following:

(1) Check to see if other devices can connect to WiFi. If they can, then the problem probably isn't with the WiFi network. If they can't, move on to the next step.

(2) Check to make sure your router is working. Are there signs of life? Are LED lights blinking? Check your router's manual to make sure that the router is giving you signs that it is online and sending out a WiFi signal.

(3) Reboot the router if there seems to be something wrong.

(4) Unplug the router for ten seconds and plug it back in.

(5) Update the firmware on your router and then reboot.

(6) Try different bandwidths / channels.

If none of this works, then it's probably not your router.

Restart Your iPhone/iPad to Fix iPhone WiFi Dropping Out

Next, you can try restarting your device and seeing if this helps. Follow these steps:

(1) Take your iPhone or iPad and hold down the sleep/wake button and the volume down button at the same. (If your iPhone is older than the iPhone 7/7s models, then you hold down the home button instead of the volume down button.)

(2) Wait ten seconds.

(3) Let go and wait until your device restarts and the Apple logo appears.

If you are using iPhone 8 and iPhone X, just press volume down button and then volume up button. After that, keep holding side button until you see Apple logo.

Sometimes this will work temporarily, other times it will be a permanent solution.

Rejoin WiFi Network

Do you keep trying to connect to the network, but it keeps telling you that the password is incorrect, even though you know that you put it in right? Try this:

(1) On your device, go to Settings, then WiFi.

(2) Tap on the network that you want to connect to.

(3) Tap Forget This Network.

(4) Tap Forget when it asks you to confirm.

(5) Now, again under your WiFi settings, tap the network that you want, then input the password again and rejoin it.

How to Remove iOS 12 Beta Profile and Stop Receiving Beta Updates

How to Remove iOS 12 Beta Profile and Stop Receiving Beta Updates

The availability of the iOS beta (for now it is iOS 12 beta) is a great way for both Apple and iOS device users to test the viability of any new software Apple wants to put on the market. It also gives users the ability to gain all the new features and upgrades on their device before anyone else can. But the beta version of any software is a testing version and as such may come riddled with a number of issues that beta testers are meant to help identify.

If you don’t want to face these problems, you can remove the beta version of iOS from your device or better yet, remove the iOS Beta Software Certificate on the device. When you install the iOS beta version on your device, Apple places a Beta Software Certificate on the device which allows the device to receive any new iOS Beta builds in future.

If you don’t want to get any future iOS beta software for example iOS 12 beta, you can remove this certificate from the device and essentially opt out of the beta program. In this article, we are going to share with you a simple way to remove your beta profile so you can stop receiving these betas. But before we do that, it is important to note that removing the certificate doesn’t remove the beta version already installed on the device. To do that, you must downgrade to the latest version that is publicly available.
Remove the iOS 12 Beta Profile and Stop Receiving Updates

The following is a simple step by step tutorial to help you remove the Profile certificate from your device. It works on an iOS device and with any beta version including iOS 12 beta installed on the device.

Step 1: On your iPhone or iPad, launch the settings app.

Step 2: From the options provided, tap on “General” and then “Profile”.

Step 3: You will see a list under “Configuration Profile.” Choose “iOS Beta Software Profile- Apple Inc”.

Step 4: You should see an option to delete the profile in the next window. Tap on “Delete Profile” and then enter the device’s passcode to confirm that this is what you want to do.

Step 5: If you have more than one beta certificates and you want to delete them all, follow steps 1 to 4 for all of them. Once done, exit the settings app and your device will not receive any beta software updates in the future.Sponsor ads:

Note: Doing the above-stated action will prevent the device from getting future iOS beta such as iOS 12 beta builds even through the OTA software update process. What this process will not do is remove any iOS beta builds already on the device. Like we already mentioned before, to do this, you will need to downgrade to the latest public version.

If in future you want to receive these beta builds, you will have to reinstall the certificate on your device. The certificates allow anyone to get a beta build but can be quite difficult to get. Also, unless you’re a developer, it is never a good idea to get beta builds. Should you decide you want one though, be sure to create a backup of your device to iTunes and archive the backup. This will come in very handy when you want to downgrade the beta build to something with fewer issues,

That said, we hope you are able to delete the certificates. If you already have a beta build on your device, downgrading it is not as hard as downgrading a public version. Just put the device in recovery mode and then reinstall the latest version via iTunes.
